What to do in Shropshire
Other than walking - well we do have Ironbridge Gorge -simply the last word in Industrial Heritage museums, The Severn Valley Railway, Weston Park, many National Trust properties. Nearer to Church Stretton, Stokesay Castle is a treat, and Ludlow, with it’s foodie connections and Georgian architecture must be visited.
We have lovely historic market towns - Church Stretton, Much Wenlock, Bishops Castle, Bridgnorth and Clun, with Montgomery and its castle a short drive away. You are spoilt for choice.

Britain becoming a major industrial power in the 1700’s. The process of making iron, and of developing its uses are at the heart of this still thriving valley. We walk amongst the historical past, through lovely stream valleys, and ancient woods on this holiday, with the River Severn not too far away on every walk.
