STROLLING IN SHROPSHIRE

WHAT IS A STROLLERS BREAK?

This programme is arranged for those who want to take their time - 5 miles, strolling through the secret countryside and with historical sites and many interesting vistas along the way.

A leisurely lunch, perhaps a visit to a garden, castle along the walk. Back for dinner in plenty of time.

Strollers Breaks are four nights in accommodation and three days of walking, talking and visiting sites of interest. Strollers breaks start on Thursday evenings(occasionally because of hotel availibility we start on Friday evenings) for evening dinner. Walking Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and the break finishes after breakfast on Monday morning.

The grade of walking is LEISURELY and transport is used to get us to the best bits of secret Shropshire.

Getting to know new friends is a vital part of our Strollers programme. Your guides are truly knowledgeable about these secret hills.

EQUIPMENT

You will need walking boots and wet weather gear.

HOW THE DAY IS ORGANISED

Starting at 9.30am we take a stroll in the morning stopping for coffee along the way. After a leisurely lunch we visit either (A) a castle, (B) a heritage site or (C) a garden.

Return at 5.30pm in time to get ready for dinner. Dinner is taken at the hotel restaurant, and before this, we discuss the next days events.

HOTEL

We stay at the Longmynd Hotel, Church Stretton, or specially selected walker friendly guest houses in Church Stretton. All rooms are ensuite. Where this is different, it is shown.

TRANSPORT

All transport to and from our strolls are provided. We will arrange transport from either Shrewsbury or Church Stretton stations to the hotel, and return.

SINGLES

As with all our programmes, singles make up a substantial part.

Three Day – Four Nights - £365

Includes bed, breakfast, lunch, evening dinner, transport, guide services.
Does not include entry to castles or gardens.
