"Easter in Shropshire - April 2019. Pre-holiday information was perfect. Email arrived just as I was about to start worrying about the details. And it answered all my questions before I’d asked them. Absolutely enjoy the guided walking. More than enjoyed it! Loved it! Being out in the wind and fresh air, up the hills lifts my spirits and refreshes my mind… it wouldn’t be the same if I was fussing about the route. And not same if not surrounded by people happy to chat, and ready to share a laugh. The leaders are really nice people too, which again, makes a difference. I’d happily recommend Secret Hills. This was my third holiday with you. I have made friends on each trip. I’ve also invited friends to come walking locally. So Secret Hills was inspirational! A huge thank you. "

"Easter in the Lakes - April 2019. Skelwith Bridge hotel was excellent in all areas and had a lovely garden to contemplate the day ahead or rest afterwards. Guides were excellent, Jill and Paul worked well together in managing the different needs and abilities of the walkers, providing clear info on the planned routes. Quiet reassurance and encouragement were given, I felt very safe and reassured to walk with the quality of their knowledge and experience. They were both hugely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the Lake District. Jill not only was an excellent guide she also took great care as a host and paid careful attention to detail in planning the entire holiday with nothing left to chance. She checked regularly that our needs were met. All we had to do was walk, eat, enjoy the views and company. Jill puts unobtrusive effort into promoting an inclusive feel that our group responded to by quickly jelling. My fellow walkers were a smashing group - diverse in age and interests and it was a real pleasure to meet and spend time with them during the break. Secret Hills provided what seems like a very personal service from booking time to departure home and I am looking forward to booking my 2nd trip. Would be happy to recommend Secret Hills to others. Many thanks for a wonderful trip. "

What Others Said...

Northern Lakes - April 2019. The Pre-Holiday information gave me everything I needed to know. Superb organisation. The hotel was brilliant. Excellent food and service. The staff in the hotel were very attentive and genuinely keen to make sure that I was happy with everything. Jill and Paul were excellent guides. They provided good walks each day and gave the option of different grades of walks on two occasions, which I very much appreciated. They are passionate about the lake district and gave us lots of information along the way, which I like. It's about enjoying the scenery, learning something about the area and socialising with others in the group. I did however, surprise myself by completing walks which I would not have attempted on my own. The group of people on the walk were lovely. We had a great time, both walking and in the evening. Everyone got on really well together and I hope to meet them again on other walks.
