Where we stay - Short Breaks for Singles

We stay in good hotels, all three star. Food is an important part of each break, and we have a hearty breakfast, three-course evening dinner, with choices for vegetarian diets. We usually stop at lunch time for a pub or cafe light bite, just enough to get us through to that cuppa in the late afteroon. Just occasionally it's a packed lunch, all included in the price.

If our holiday spans a weekend, then we have a gala dinner on Saturday nights - a bit more to get dressed up for, and sometimes if it's a food and wine weekend, then we can sample local food and wine at its best..

In the UK - simply no single supplements - ever.

In Europe - we unfortunately have to charge single supplements, but we will work hard to minimize those for you.

What Others Said...

Jane Binyon Nepal October 2014 The Ama Dablan basecamp trek was an excellent 'taster' of what Nepal has to offer - a wonderfully heady mix, from the hustle and bustle of KMD, then following the famous route of past and present mountaineers heading for their conquest of Everest, or its Basecamp, before taking to the quieter, arguably more beautiful surroundings of Ama Dablam basecamp and on from there to even more secluded sherpa villages and buddhist monasteries that are still unspoilt by tourism.   A real insight into such a fascinating culture, wonderful mountain scenery, on a route that was sufficiently challenging to provide a great sense of satisfaction at the end, with lodge accomodation run by local families that gave a glimpse of traditional Sherpa lifestyle that continues  in the region, and provided us with excellent food throughout.   Having Jill lead the trek, alongside a Nepalese guide, was a real bonus. For someone who doesn't know her left from her right (and she doesn't!), Jill is unbelievably capable, inspiring, encouraging, caring, fun and lovable! She worked so hard to give each of us as many options as possible throughout the trip, so we could each get out of it the things we had come in search of. At the same time, making the holiday both fun and exciting. Jill encouraged us to immerse ourselves in the magic that is Nepal, even teaching us enough of the language to engage with our fellow guides and the locals.  She has the rare talent of being both a leader and a great travelling companion at the same time. I can't wait for her to organise another trek in the Himalaya.
