You matter to us & we promise to provide you with a superb walking & social holiday, tailored specifically to your needs. We provide walking holidays for walkers & as walkers ourselves, we appreciate & understand the requirements of a walking holiday.
Situated on the east coast of England, north Norfolk has 45 miles of stunning coastline, Blue Flag beaches, big skies and breath-taking countryside. Our guided walking solos holiday takes in some of the magnificent unspoilt beaches as well as the lovely rolling inland scenery.
We take pride in offering guided walking holidays uniquely for solos and singles in beautiful destinations across the UK and Europe. Unlike many other walking companies which offer solos holidays as an extra, we are unique in that we only deal in solos guided walking. We also design bespoke holidays for special groups.
We stay at the Dormy House Hotel Cromer- on the cliffs at West Runton close to Cromer.
Dinner is three course and we provide lunch at one of Norfolk’s lovely country pub.
You can reserve extra nights by request.
There are other walking holiday companies that cover the countryside but we believe we offer the best value for many reasons….

Its a social week as well- enjoy good food, conversation and the company of like minded people.
Exclusions
Although our leaders are well trained and experienced in dealing with different capabilities of our walking clients, if they have any concerns about any clients ability or suitability to undertake safely any walking activity we plan or they feel that participation of an individual may affect the groups safety and cohesion, then they have full permission to exclude that client from an activity.
They will try at all times to provide an alternative suggested activity, though this may involve the client in additional local cost.
We rarely have to enforce this above recommendation, but it is a sensible and necessary protection for the individual client, the group and the leaders.
These are some of the walks we will use. Your walk leader will discuss the next day’s walk at dinner the evening before.
Norfolk Coast Path- Holkam Hall to Stiffkey through Wells next the sea
Norfolk Coast Path- Cley next the sea to Stiffkey – via Blakeney
Cley for a walk along the dunes and foreshore to Blakeney Point and some seal spotting- and return
Weavers Way to Felbrigg and beyond, return through the Felbrigg woodlands to the hotel

Its all about meeting new friends. Each holiday is designed to be a friendly, relaxed and stress free occasion. Talking is as important as walking on Secrethills Walking Holidays. We don’t go in for discos, we may use an event that is taking place in the area we are in to boost the weekends activities – but its good, old fashioned chat that makes our short breaks successful.
“Make new friends that turn into old friends” – that’s our motto.
You might be surprised by what fun you’ll have with people who are older or younger than you during a holiday with us, and that’s exactly the sort of atmosphere we encourage; people find it very rewarding. It doesn’t matter what your reasons for traveling with us are, we’ve had people who are single, divorced or widowed, people who have partners that are unable to travel, and people who can’t holiday with their friends anymore as they’ve all got married themselves. There are people who want to make friends, see sights, and experience something completely new. Whatever your reason, we’ll welcome you with open arms and our friendly hosts will help you to get the most out of your holiday.
Don’t worry if this is the first time you have ventured to join a group holiday – its always a bit daunting – but we will look after you and ensure that you get used to being amongst friends again. Trust us to to get you back into the swing of things.
Oh – by the way – its not a dating agency – over the years we have had people meet and fall in love – but that’s just chance. Our aim is that you make like minded friends – just relax and enjoy.
Just arrive and enjoy.

There is nowhere like north Norfolk when it comes to enjoying & exploring the outdoors.
There is something for everyone. If you travel to North Norfolk you will find beautiful beaches, the Deep History Coast, breath-taking countryside, big skies, miles of Broads National Park, enchanting forests, historical halls and land-marks. It is like nature’s playground where children and grown-ups can enjoy fun traditional pastimes to make the most of the great outdoors. Activities like crabbing, cloud spotting in the big Norfolk skies, building sandcastles, beachcombing, boating and walking are enjoyed by all generations.
North Norfolk is steeped in history & heritage. With a past of prosperous landowners and rich proceeds from trade with the continent in goods like wool, many fine buildings, stately homes & churches were built in this era, and can still be explored today. With its 45 miles of coastline, north Norfolk has a rich maritime heritage which can be seen in the towns & museums.
There’s a fascinating heritage to discover in north Norfolk.
Cromer, perched on the very edge of the north Norfolk coast, is famous for its tasty crabs, wide open beaches, a traditional pier complete with a theatre providing seaside special variety shows and is awash with small local independent shops. As you would expect of a seaside town rich in its fishing heritage, it has a lighthouse and a proud tradition of RNLI service. It has been said that the lifeboat service is the lifeblood of the town and the Henry Blogg Museum offers a great insight into the service’s past history.
The hotel was in a great location, clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely and the breakfasts delicious. I absolutely loved the guided walking- it was brilliant. The holiday was very well organized. Mark was a perfect guide, knowledgeable, personable, and good company…a great group, beautiful walks and a smashing guide. Thank you.
I have been on Secret Hills walking holidays before, more than once and cannot fault the organisation of the holidays. Those lunch time stops in pubs, occasional packed lunches, transport to and from walks all at the correct time – well done. I thoroughly enjoy the guided walking experience and feel well taken care of by the walk leaders. The Norfolk walks were well thought out to encompass variety and the pace was suitable with rest stops along the way. Certainly didn’t feel rushed, given time to enjoy the scenery. Hotel friendly, welcoming staff. Relaxed atmosphere.
Hotel ideal for the time we stayed, it accommodated walkers, rooms were good and the staff accommodating. Centrally located to the walks. Organisation all good. Yes (enjoyed guided walking). Thank you! I loved Norfolk and will visit again.
Enjoyed my first walking holiday very much. Was slightly apprehensive if I would be able to keep up but I ned not have worried. Our walk leader Mark was excellent at setting the right pace. Mark took excellent care of us and everything was so well organised. Lunches all taken care of and transport to start of walks each day were very prompt. Would most definitely book another Secret Hills walking holiday – so many to choose from it’s difficult to decide where to go next! Keep up the good work – you’re doing a brilliant job of taking away all the stress of organising a holiday. Didn’t have to think about a single thing the entire duration of the holiday. Thank you!
