Guided Walking Holidays For Groups

Yes, let us take the strain. Secret Hills Walking Holidays specialises in arranging guided walking holidays for Groups in the UK and Europe – working with you to give you the best holiday at the most effective cost. Our philosophy is simple — we are in business to arrange walking holidays. We are expert in arranging hotels, meals, transport — and especially walk leading in the areas we promote.  The additional cost to you of our providing that service is minimal, when you work it out across the group.

Discuss with us what you want, where you want to walk, and we will propose a package to you – using the buying power we have – to give you a cost effective but superb holiday. A small deposit secures your place – final payment in UK is 4 weeks from the holiday start date, and in Europe 8 weeks from the holiday start date. Organisers discounts according to numbers and length of holiday are sometimes available (depending on numbers). In addition to walking, Secret Hills have a range of evening activities that can be purchased, such as quizzes, musical evenings, talks by local history experts, etc.

Secret Hills Walking Holidays have listed a number of walking groups we have arranged holidays in the past.  They will happily testify to how we have provided a complete service to them.  Just ask for their contacts.

Remember – we will always go that extra mile to help you enjoy a fabulous holiday experience.

    Hi Frances
As usual the organisation and walk leaders were excellent.  Takes the stress off me.
The Abbey hotel was excellent and the staff efficient.
My thanks to Alan and Mike in particular.

Hi Alan, Pam Mike and Mark. Just a line to thank you all for your part in making our club weekend a success. It was never going to be easy but with support from you all in different ways we pulled it off! The hotel did a magnificent job. The feedback from the members has been positive. For some it was their first time away this year. The walks were great and even the weather was not as bad as predicted and certainly seemed better than the weekend weather was in Kettering. I now hope no one shows Covid symptoms in the next two weeks. I can then completely relax! Thanks again. Good luck with the rest of the year’s activities. Kind regards to you all, Sue.

  • Alan, I wish to Thank You and all your team for the fantastic 6 days we have just enjoyed down in Eastbourne, Sunday 29th September – Friday 4th October, with John and The Meadhurst Ramblers.Lou Stone, along with her assistant, Kelly, were exceptionally good – lovely people, knowledgable, fun, fully in control and always 100% looking after our safety – and enjoyment. You truly have 2 gems there.Greg and his team providing the transport, with Eastbourne Buses were also extremely good – always prompt, helpful, friendly, willing to go out of their way to make it enjoyable as we were traveling one place to another.I thank you too, very very much for organising a room for me, with a view. I sat many an hour in the Bay Window, loving the view down to the sea. Some of the sunrises were quite spectacular. Having that room and view, truly put the cherry on the cake – rounding an excellent holidau up perfectly.

Stoke Lodge Ramblers, Gower October 2022

    Afternoon Alan,

I just wanted to thank you and Clive for a great holiday in the Gower. I have had a couple of e-mails from the non SLR walkers who obviously thoroughly enjoyed it too. The accommodation was excellent and the food first class. We enjoyed the walks even though the weather on Tuesday was a bit tricky and Wednesday even more so.

Once again, many thanks for the event.

    Regards

    Andrew Chair SLR

Alan, thank you for organising and leading our walking break. Secret Hills provides a sense of security to all our walkers who are highly appreciative of your personal style and commitment. David

  • Dear Alan, Simon and Nina looked after us really well and we all had a great long awaited holiday. The hotel staff were very friendly although very busy. The only problem that I am aware of was a lack of water pressure on the 3rd floor. My shower produced a dribble and was unusable, fortunately there was a bath. All in all, a lovely break. Best regards Pat

  • Hi Alan, Just wanted to say how much we all enjoyed the holiday on the South Downs. Really great walks. Also to say what an exceptional and excellent leader you have in Lou Stone. Friendly, professional, knowledgeable, helpful and very hot on health & safety. We couldn’t have wished for anyone better. Also Kelly was delightful and very ably assisted Lou.
Hope all is well with you.
    Regards, John.

  • Thankyou so much for another brilliant Secret Hills holiday for our group. The Virginia Court Hotel was an excellent choice for location, lovely rooms and wonderful food. The walkers have enjoyed the Norfolk Coast Path with Maggie’s friendly and very caring leadership and strollers have appreciated Alans effort involved in tailoring the visits to our varied abilities, while showing us the highlights of the area.
Admin and planning was also handled very efficiently by Pam, and we will continue to recommend Secret Hills Walking Holidays.
    Thankyou again

  • Hi Alan A big thank you from all of us at Kettering and District Rambling Club for an excellant weekend. The hotel was very comfortable with lovely food. As usual Ian was great as the weekend leader. Nothing seems to phase him and he patiently re- explains everything to those who didn’t listen! All the rest of your leaders were kind and very knowledgeable. It was also good to have you with us for a day. The one comment several people made was could tea and coffee after dinner be included in the price. Obviously next year’s price is already fixed so maybe a thought for the year after. Thanks again and hope the rest of the year goes well for you. Kind regards Sue

I know there were a couple of blips with the short walks being longer than agreed, but that was sorted out quite quickly.                          There was praise for all the walk leaders being friendly and helpful, and giving interesting local information.                                                                                                                                                          People said the would happily go with the company again.                                                                              Mo

    Hi Alan

I would just like to say a big thank you again to you and all the walks leaders for everything you did to make the October Weekend such a success.

The walks were excellent and weather looked kindly upon us all weekend which is always a bonus. As well as the knowledge that they have on the area gives people a better understanding. Your entertainment also went down well and got people in the mood for a singalong.

The WhatsApp messages were flying around last night with everyone saying how much they enjoyed it which is always great to hear and most are looking forward to the next one.

    Kind regards

    Graham
