Alison our guide was very professional, friendly and informative with regards to the itinerary for the duration of the weekend. She gave interesting snippets of information about the area and the wildlife as we walked. She was very accommodating to the varying levels of mobility among the group which very helpful. I highly recommend Secret Hills Walking for solo walkers. The weekends I have experienced have always been great . The locations walked are beautiful. The accommodation has always been good. The food good. The guides friendly and knowledgeable. You get to meet new people and make new friends.

Even though Secret Hills had been recommended by a friend I was unsure of what I might find having never used a solo traveller type organisation before. Love this hotel. Staff very friendly and efficient, Ideal for the type of holiday. The guides have good knowledge of the area, the group’s capabilities and matching walks to walkers. We were able to switch between the 2 walking holidays taking place in Exmoor that weekend. A lovely relaxing combination of country walks and yoga designed to enhance the experience.

The hotel was one of the best in the area, food was pricy but delicious. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and we were able to choose whatever we like.” Yes, It was only 6 of us on this walk so very flexible and able to visit some English Heritage sites. I initially thought I would be walking 2/3 of Hadrian’s Wall. It was well organised, easy to manage the small group.
